Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Epicor 9.x Finance Functional Consultant to provide interim support to its Finance organization during a critical period. This is a hands-on functional role supporting day-to-day accounting operations, troubleshooting system issues, and partnering directly with Finance users to maximize the effectiveness of an established Epicor 9.x environment.
The ideal consultant will bring deep functional expertise in Epicor Financials and a strong understanding of accounting processes within a live production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional support for Epicor ERP 9.x Financials, including: GL, AP, AR, Cash Management and Banking and Fixed Assets.
- Support Finance teams during month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Troubleshoot financial transactions, posting issues, reconciliation challenges, and system-related concerns.
- Partner directly with accounting and finance users to identify issues and recommend practical solutions.
- Assist with configuration reviews and functional setup as needed.
- Collaborate with IT and technical teams when escalation is required.
- Support financial reporting requests and Epicor-generated reporting needs.
Required Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience supporting Epicor ERP 9.x.
Strong functional expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable modules.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial business processes.
Experience supporting Finance and Accounting users in a production ERP environment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot transaction, posting, reconciliation, and close-process issues.
Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with business stakeholders.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
