Employers often look for candidates with strong problem-solving abilities, eagerness to learn, and basic knowledge of programming languages, even if they lack work experience.

What to expect working as a no experience software developer?

Even with no experience, you can find a job as an entry-level software developer. In this role, you may help code programs, troubleshoot and debug existing code, and determine the best application framework to meet your programming goals. Many companies use this job as a type of extended training period for new college graduates, especially when it comes to teaching specific programming languages or skills that may not have been a part of your degree program. Entry-level software developers often collaborate with other developers when producing code, discuss topics with subject matter experts, review code from peers, and contribute to technical design documentation.
