Job Summary

JobTread is seeking a skilled, customer-focused accounting professional to join our Support team as an Accounting Specialist. In this role, you'll serve as the go-to resource for accounting and QuickBooks-related questions from our customers, especially related to the JobTread + QuickBooks Online integration.

Beyond 1:1 support, you'll help educate and train the customers by creating knowledge-based content, short videos, and internal training resources.

This is an ideal role for someone who can solve problems, communicate clearly with accountants and non-accountants, and is excited to partner with our Product, Customer Success, and Support teams to improve the customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Handle support cases related to JobTread's accounting and job costing-related workflows as well as the JobTread + QuickBooks Online integration
  • Diagnose issues by reviewing customer configuration, mapping, sync behavior, and workflow setup; identify root causes and provide clear next steps.
  • Support customers with accounting-related use cases (e.g., payments, deposits, change orders, cost tracking, job profitability, reconciliation-friendly workflows).
  • Translate accounting concepts into practical guidance for construction business owners with varying levels of bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Host recurring virtual "office hours" with customers to help answer common questions.
  • Create and maintain high-quality help-desk articles, troubleshooting guides, and short instructional videos related to accounting workflows and the QuickBooks integration.
  • Monitor and update the accounting-related knowledge base to keep content accurate, current, and easy to understand.
  • Provide internal training and documentation to help better handle accounting-related questions as they arise.
Ideal Candidate Traits
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Prior experience supporting construction companies (in-house or as a service provider).
  • Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks Online, including setup, troubleshooting, and best-practices.
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor, bookkeeping certifications, or equivalent credentials are a plus.
  • Comfort explaining accounting concepts in a clear, easy-to-understand manner.
  • Training/content creation experience (help articles, videos, webinars, etc).
  • Software experience, especially supporting an integration or workflow-heavy product.
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to turn repeat questions into clear documentation customers can follow.
  • Organized, efficient, and ability to manage multiple cases and priorities at once.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong ownership mentality.
