Job description

We are looking for an efficient and strong Property Manager to join our growing team! The right candidate will manage the daily operations of our property, advertise vacant properties, and handle tenant relations. The Property Manager's responsibilities include managing financial matters, coordinating maintenance work, overseeing property staff, enforcing leases, and preparing performance reports.

To be successful as a Property Manager, you should be able to ensure efficient daily operations and meet financial objectives. Ultimately, an outstanding property manager should be able to increase property value and satisfy tenant requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing leasing office & maintenance staff
  • Attracting new tenants through advertising, property viewings, and encouraging referrals
  • Interviewing tenants and running credit checks
  • Enforcing lease agreements
  • Addressing tenant complaints/concerns in a respectful and timely manner, inspecting vacated units & rent-ready units along with periodic inspections
  • Supervising repairs and maintenance work
  • Collecting rent, late payments, etc.
  • Maintaining records of income, expenses, signed leases, complaints, maintenance, etc.
  • Terminating leases and initiating eviction proceedings
  • Solving city violations & communicating with city offices

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED; degree in property management, business administration, or a related field a plus
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Property Manager
  • Experience managing properties with 200+ units
  • Working knowledge of property regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; property management software (Yardi) is a huge advantage
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and detail-oriented
