Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Report to photo editor.
  • Take photographs at assignments assigned by the photo editor, editor-in-chief or section editors.
  • Get caption information and accurate identification of individuals in photos.
  • Communicate regularly with photo editor.
  • Complete assignments by deadline.
  • Generate photo ideas and enterprise.
  • Make arrangements for a substitute photographer when cannot attend assignments.
  • Submit photos to the newspaper using the process determined by the photo editor.
  • Attend any and all staff meetings as set by photo editor or editor-in-chief.
  • When using Indiana Statesman equipment, follow the equipment checkout protocol.
  • Perform any duties called for to ensure the student newspaper accomplishes its mission.
