VENUE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION

TheMDenis theofficial team storefor the University of MichiganAthleticDepartment.Legends GlobalhaspartneredwithMichigan Athletics todeliverlegendary products and customer service through retail stores,e-commerce, andsales locations throughout theMichiganAthletic venues.

TheNorth Universityretail storewillfeature2,500square feet of retaildesignedto elevate the fanexperience throughcollectibles,team-specificproduct,athlete (NIL) jerseys/products,and exclusive itemsdesignedonly for theMDen.Located across the street from the Michigan Central Campus (right on theDiag!), this space has been an historic sporting goods retail space for over 100 years.The store will also hostathlete/coachautograph signings, andspecialeventsthroughout thecalendar year.

THE ROLE

Supervises and coordinates operations ofretailstore.Our number one priority is to provide fans with a legendary experience each time they enter the store. We strive to create an environment unlike any other sporting eventworld-wide. We goabove and beyondto exceed their expectations in customer service, display of merchandise, and attention to detail. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the store.

  • Ensure the Total Customer Experience.

  • Provide customer service by greeting andassistingcustomers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.

  • Strong product knowledge.

  • Communicates with Program Team to ensure availability of merchandise; maintain accurate inventory.

  • Execute all company visual merchandising directives.

  • Maintainappropriate levelof store staff; hire, train, and evaluate personnel; promote or fire personnel.

  • Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.

  • Inform store employees on updated proper store operations and procedures.

  • Schedule and assign employee hours.

  • Monitor payroll and expenses daily to ensurebudgetis met.

  • Assist Program Team in reviewing merchandising activities, determining additional needed sale promotions.

  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Direct all store operations onadditionaldays, including game days andspecial events.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential dutyabove atthe highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequired.

  • Three-Five years industry experiencerequired.

  • Associates or four-year collegedegreein retail, business, management or related field, is preferred.

  • Will have a thorough knowledge of products.

  • Must have knowledge of personnel scheduling and store operations.

  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment,selection, training, compensation, and benefits.

  • This position requires that the person behighlyorganized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.

  • Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

  • Must haveabilityto use logic and reasoning toidentifythe strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Identifyingcomplex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
