You will be driving graphic strategy and vision while working with multiple teams of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver creative in line with the Nike Design Ethos. This opportunity will require strong collaborative skills to meet deadlines, ensure feasibility of designs, hit price points, while talking your partners through the thinking behind your work.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an exceptional Product Design Storyteller with proven design excellence, curiosity, problem solving tenacity, and a passion for making those around them better. This designer will play a key role in authoring powerful narratives that inspire athletes, franchises, and fans worldwide. They thrive in ambiguity, are driven by curiosity and lead with optimism. Their creative talent is equaled by their ability to think strategically and consciously champion ground-breaking thinking and the thinking of their teammates. They play a key role in the conceptualization, design, and development of uniform graphics and branding elements. These designers have an affinity for world-building and storytelling through uniform design, integrating narrative elements that resonate with fans and athletes. This designer also plays a key role in the mentoring and development of junior designers, fostering their growth and skills within the design team and Nike Design community.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, 7 years or more of graphic design experience at agency or in-house setting, or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
  • Master at translating insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities.
  • Master visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present design intent to internal and external audiences.
  • Master of design craft, innovation, graphic applications, prints, processes and tools.
  • Master of apparel product creation.
  • Digital design acumen in Adobe CC and comfortable working within Digital tools/3D
  • Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.
  • Passion for empowering our Athletes/Teams and making their dreams come true.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
You will be responsible for the conceptualizing narratives across multiple NBA and WNBA Uniforms through Graphic Visual Centers and Presentations. If this is you, you'll be working with Internal and External Product and Design partners aligning on construction, development, insights, and various presentation gates. A typical day/week consists of working closely with your Uniform Design teammates to ensure we're creating the future of sport across the Licensed Basketball Uniforms. This can range from brainstorm sessions on creative strategies to meetings designed to review uniform designs are achieving the desired goal.
