About ANIME Impulse
ANIME Impulse is one of North America’s most vibrant pop culture festivals, celebrating the best of anime, gaming, cosplay, and digital creators. As part of the IMPULSE Universe family of live experiences (including K-PLAY! FEST and Collectors Expo), we’re building an ecosystem that extends fandom beyond the event, from exclusive convention drops to licensed collectibles and global digital footprints.
The Role
We’re looking for a creative, versatile Graphic Designer to join our team for a full-time position.
This role sits at the heart of our visual identity; you will turn ideas into high-impact visuals that resonate with our community. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you’ll adapt to a wide variety of design styles to create stunning assets across our web, print, and marketing channels. You’re someone who thrives in a dynamic creative ecosystem, understands fandom aesthetics, and enjoys turning concepts into beautiful, polished designs.
What You’ll Do
Brand & Marketing Design
  • Create eye-catching, brand-focused marketing materials for events, merch, social media, and digital campaigns.
  • Adapt to multiple distinct visual styles across the IMPULSE Universe brands.
  • Ensure all visual content meets high-quality standards and aligns with project requirements.
Digital & Web Asset Creation
  • Design digital assets optimized for web platforms, keeping basic web structures and user experience in mind.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide creative visual solutions for web updates and promotional rollouts.
Project & Workflow Management
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously from concept to final delivery.
  • Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, event-driven work environment.
  • Contribute fresh, innovative visual ideas during team brainstorms.
Who You Are
  • Adobe Suite Expert: Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related applications) is a must.
  • Tech-Savvy Creator: Basic understanding of web technologies, including HTML.
  • Fandom-Fluent: A basic familiarity with anime, K-pop, or trading card games (TCG) to naturally understand our audience, trends, and brand DNA.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Ability to stay structured, manage your own project pipeline, and maintain sharp attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborative Communicator: A positive, collaborative team player who welcomes feedback and enjoys iterating on designs.
  • Flexible Availability: Ready to commit to a consistent part-time/contract schedule with an open-ended workflow arrangement.
Bonus Points if You Have:
  • Experience with video editing and motion graphics (After Effects, Premiere, etc.).
  • Additional web development knowledge or UI/UX experience.
  • Previous experience designing assets for live events, conventions, or merchandise brands.
How to Apply
Send your resume and a link to your portfolio highlighting your brand or marketing work.
Optional: Share an example of a piece of official anime art, K-pop album design, or TCG card art that you think features incredible graphic design, and tell us why you love it!
Bring fandom to life through design. Join ANIME Impulse. ✨
