WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
As our Apparel Designer II, you'll report directly to the Global Football Apparel Design Director and work with the design team to actively gain experience, enhance design skills, and increase knowledge of Nike's design philosophy, products, and processes. You'll also work with cross-functional partners to bring great product to the Athlete and the marketplace, ensuring feasibility of designs, meeting price points, merchandising needs, and product creation timelines.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an Apparel Designer II who delivers outstanding design skills to create futuristic, innovative designs that reflect Nike's design philosophy and push the future of Global Football forward. You'll need to have a distinct talent for responding to business objectives with creative design solutions rooted in athlete and consumer insights, bringing to life seasonal creative direction through apparel design.
We are looking for someone who understands Global Football and has a passion and curiosity for the Nike brand of authenticity, quality, distinction, and relevance. This candidate needs to have a passion for craft, innovation, performance apparel and sport culture, keeping in mind Nike's rich legacy in sport and its future-forward impact.
We are looking for a candidate who is curious and motivated to discover new methods of make. You'll need strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across the organization. This role demands big-picture thinking alongside attention to detail, with a strong understanding of product relevance, positioning, timing, and collection-based design.
Collaborative problem solving, emotional intelligence, and a high level of ownership in executing accurate design assets, while consistently communicating ideas clearly and effectively.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related design field or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • Minimum 1-4 years of relevant work experience in Apparel/Fashion design.
  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
  • Passion for researching and analyzing trends across sport, youth and culture, and the ability to unpack key opportunities for Nike products.
  • Ability translating insights into authentic narratives, and visual storytelling in presentations & communication.
  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient in sketching, illustration, typography, print and pattern, color theory and layout.
  • Knowledge of apparel product creation.
  • Digital design acumen in Adobe CC Suite and comfortable working with Digital Creation 3D Tools (CLO) and AI.
  • Ability to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivity.
  • Passion for empowering our Athletes/Teams and making their dreams come true.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
As our Apparel Designer II in Global Football, you'll design innovative product under the direction of Design Director, creating original concepts that meet the needs of the athlete and reflect Nike's design philosophy.
As part of the Global Football Apparel product design team, you will help create and support the future of the category, focusing on performance-driven product and apparel solutions that connect sport and culture.
You will:
  • Translate athlete and consumer insights into innovative design solutions.
  • Develop concepts from ideation through prototype, working closely with development, materials, and testing partners.
  • Build and communicate clear design narratives through presentations and visual storytelling.
  • Monitor prototype development to ensure design intent is executed with quality and accuracy.
  • Stay connected to sport, culture, and emerging trends to inform relevant and future-forward product
