Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 3+ years of ICU experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details
  • Work in the ICU of a busy acute care, verified trauma center hospital
  • ICU patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity; Step Down ratio 1:3
  • May float to CVICU based on facility needs
  • Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts with a 36-hour guarantee (no 4/12 schedules)
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Cerner EMR
Requirements
  • Active MI RN license required at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required
  • Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
  • Copy of ACLS certification required for consideration
  • Skills checklist completed within the past year required for RN specialty
  • Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required
Additional Information
  • Deliver quality nursing care using the nursing process in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and plan/implement individualized care
  • Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care accordingly
  • Navy blue scrub color required per facility dress code
  • No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
  • Local candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers with adjusted pay
  • Former McLaren full-time employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
  • Facility enforces a strict 3-strike attendance policy for absences or tardiness over 20 minutes
