Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Wellspring Skilled Nursing and Rehab - Monroe
Reports to: Director of Nursing (DON)
Position Type: Full-time or part-time | Hourly

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Monroe Skilled Nursing and Rehab team. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Monroe County. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provide skilled nursing care to residents in alignment with their rights, dignity, and individual preferences.
  • Through daily visits and evaluations, monitor, assess and document residents’ physical, and emotional status.
  • Receive shift reports and provide clear handoff communication to oncoming nursing staff.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and families regarding changes in condition, abnormal lab results, new admissions, or incidents such as falls or injuries.
  • Implement and document new physician orders and update residents’ care plans as needed.
  • Administer medications accurately and on schedule, adhering to stop-order and safety policies.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols, including proper hygiene, glove use, and disposal of soiled materials.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure resident-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred (home health, medical, surgical or critical care).
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to compassionate care.

Schedule and Compensation

  • Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
  • Schedule: Night Shift (4:45 pm - 5:15 am)
  • Weekends: Weekend rotation required
  • Pay Rate: $41.40 – $44.40/hour based on licensure
