  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law and confidence in applying compliant HR practices in a fast-paced, multi-state organization
  • Experience working effectively in decentralized, distributed, or remote-first environments across multiple locations and time zones
  • Strong employee relations judgment and experience handling sensitive matters with discretion, consistency and professionalism
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to establish credibility with employees, managers and cross-functional partners
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience improving HR processes, documenting workflows and creating practical tools or SOPs that drive consistency and scalability
  • Comfort using HR systems, reporting tools and data to support decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Strong business acumen and a practical, service-oriented approach to supporting a high-growth, evolving organization
  • Preferred: interest in developing and facilitating leadership training to strengthen manager capability and leadership effectiveness
