Overview and Responsibilities
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Analyst Murray Operations to support the Manager of Inventory Control & Repair. This role is responsible for the measurement, analysis, and reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly inventory operations activities, including cycle counting, reconciliations, variance reporting, data collection, and processes that ensure inventory security and integrity. The position also develops and delivers reporting and analysis for Fulfillment and Repair Center operations, including tracking inventory movement, repair throughput, fulfillment accuracy, and key performance metrics, while identifying trends and variances to drive operational improvements. This role requires extensive analysis of inventory transactions, fulfillment workflows, and repair processes, along with recommendations to enhance the management, control, and visibility of the company's inventory while supporting patient quality and operational excellence.

  • Analyze excess and idle inventory, including vendor returns and warranty tracking
  • Analyze inventory transactions, fulfillment workflows, and repair processes to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in the development and improvement of policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and inventory integrity
  • Conduct analysis and reporting for Fulfillment and Repair Center operations, including inventory movement, repair throughput, fulfillment accuracy, and turnaround times
  • Ensure accurate and timely tracking of inventory movements, transfers, adjustments, and shrinkage
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards through observation and reporting
  • Gather and analyze data to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify inventory-related issues and provide actionable recommendations for resolution
  • Monitor and report inventory performance metrics (e.g., turns, days on hand, turn-and-earn) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Monitor inventory levels against budget and forecast and provide insights and recommendations
  • Monitor operational and inventory-related expenses and provide reporting to support financial goals
  • Occasional night and/or weekend work as needed
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform exception reporting and investigate variances, discrepancies, and non-conformances to resolution
  • Perform location, supplier, and product segment analysis to optimize inventory performance
  • Provide reporting, analysis, and reconciliation support for rental and supply inventory balances
  • Recommend updates to distribution and fulfillment center stocking levels based on data analysis
  • Research, identify, and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts, WMS, and financial systems
  • Respond promptly to requests and consistently meet deadlines
  • Support physical inventory and cycle count processes, including measurement, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required

Preferred Education and/or Experience
  • Four year College Degree or two year Associates Degree in business with relevant inventory, purchasing, logistics and / or financial experience working with inventory
  • APICS certifications a plus

  • Ability to clearly express analysis and results in business terms to associates
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with physicians, location employees and patients to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Effectively present and discuss results and solutions resulting from analysis and projects
