To thrive as a Night Counselor, you generally need a background in psychology, social work, or a related field, along with experience in crisis intervention and basic counseling techniques. Familiarity with case management systems, incident reporting tools, and certifications such as CPR or first aid are often required. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial soft skills in this role. These capabilities ensure the safety and well-being of clients during overnight hours and support effective crisis management.
