Familiarity with case management software, assessment tools, and documentation systems is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, and emotional intelligence help build trust and rapport with clients. Job description

In this role, you will conduct thorough behavioral and mental health assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver brief interventions and evidence-based psychotherapy. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, coordinate care across settings, and provide psychoeducation to both residents and staff. Your expertise will help strengthen whole-person care while enhancing the well-being of the communities we serve.

Our therapist provides counseling across a variety of settings, including private residences in independent living, skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care communities, and shared therapy offices. This diversity of care environments offers a unique opportunity to meet clients where they are and provide flexible, responsive support.

Utilizing a range of therapeutic approaches—such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy—you will empower clients to achieve personal goals, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies for life’s most complex challenges. Above all, you will foster a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, supported, and understood.

This role requires a strong ability to lead and facilitate support groups and group therapy sessions.

If you are a compassionate clinician who values collaboration, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference, we invite you to bring your expertise and enthusiasm to our growing team!

WE VALUE YOU!

  • Access to wages after payday.
  • Build lasting relationships with residents.
  • Work with a team who appreciates your passion and enthusiasm.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Utilize appropriate external and/or internal referral sources for specialty care, hospitalization, or advanced psychiatric assessments and treatments.
  • Provide staff education on topics related to mental health, aging, dementia care, and resident support.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Masters-level behavioral health clinician or higher.
  • Preferred of one of the following licenses granted by the State of Florida: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Experience in providing counseling and mental health services, which may include evaluation, diagnosis, treatment of mental illness, and other psychological issues.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Continuing education opportunities
    • Tuition Reimbursement
    • Partnership discounts through local colleges
  • Retirement plan with 6% company match
  • Medical, Dental and Vision plans (Full-Time)
  • FREE salad bar and homemade soups daily
  • Milestone gifts
  • FREE telemedicine for family members
  • FREE employee clinic sick visits
  • Referral bonus opportunities

WE ARE:

A beautiful 60-acre Life Plan Community, or CCRC, that offers senior living at the highest level of independence – with unmatched amenities, fine dining, and refined décor – as well as a full continuum of care that includes Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation.

Cypress Cove enjoys a resident-staff rapport that is engaging and friendly. As much as our residents LOVE to live here, YOU will LOVE to work here!
