Job Title: Senior Vice President, Sales

Audacy, a leading multi-platform audio content and entertainment company that engages 200 million consumers each month, is seeking an experienced, high-energy, high-achieving Vice President of Sales in Chicago. 

In this role, you will lead a team of passionate colleagues, committed to delivering results, marketing excellence and unwavering customer service. You will work cross-functionally with all Department Leads, and will be responsible for the successful achievement of the total sales goal for Chicago. 

You must have experience in audio and a passion for music, digital media, news, sports and innovation. Driving revenue growth across our six (6) highly influential radio stations is a top priority. You will also be responsible for setting strategy and tactics for our numerous platforms including podcasts, streaming, mobile, digital, social, events and OTT. 

The anticipated starting salary range for Illinois based individuals expressing interest in this position is $300,000-$350,000. 

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Reinforce and promote a team-based culture. 
  • Recruit and retain top talent at all levels of the Sales Department. 
  • Create systems of accountability that reinforce agreed upon levels of performance.
  • Lead, train and engage a sales team in evolving media trends - including but not limited to digital audio, attribution and Nielsen data. 
  • Develop and grow relationships with clients, through both individual and joint meetings with Account Executives and Sales Managers. 
  • Leverage our data, scale and resources to guide sound management and operational decision-making across the sales organization. 
  • Create sales (audio, digital, experiential, play-by-play, etc.,) opportunities that align with client needs. 
  • Own financial metrics of the department, including pricing, inventory and expense management, along with weekly revenue, pacing and forecasting. Monitor competition and trends in the market. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • You must be a sales leader and have the skill and drive to motivate in today's changing environment, inspire a sales team to success and contribute innovative ideas to generate revenue 
  • You must be goal driven and creative, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
  • You must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 
  • 5+ years Manager experience in media, preferably audio and digital 
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, including the ability to develop talent and build a high-performance culture across the organization 
  • Data and results driven leader with a proven track record of leading a successful sales team through change and innovation 
  • Strong background in strategic account management, sales training/leadership, pricing and budgeting required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and organizational skills; high proficiency in Google Suite tools 
  • Experience effectively utilizing a CMS, preferably Salesforce, to manage teams 
  • High work intensity with the ability to manage various projects and products proactively, and deliver quality results on or before deadlines 
  • Experience in play-by-play sales for both college and professional teams. 
  • Exceptional Presentation Skills 
  • Highly skilled negotiator 
  • BS/BA Degree Preferred 
  • A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
