Job description

Location:
1861 US Rte 41, Schererville, Indiana 46375 United States of America
Do you want to put your technical skills to good use? If so, consider becoming U-Haul Company's newest Assembler. In this position you will work on various parts of the assembly line to ensure that trucks, trailers and other equipment are efficiently and expertly constructed.
NOTE: U-Haul is recruiting for this role with the length of this position to coincide with specific project or projects for which you will be assigned. This position therefore contemplates and end-date at the conclusion of the project or projects on which you are working.

Assembler Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assemble trucks, trailers and other equipment in a production-line environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

Assembler Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must supply steel-toed shoes or boots.

Work Environment: The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
