Vice President - Facilities
About the Role
The Vice President of Facilities leads all facility operations, maintenance, engineering, conversion, housekeeping, sustainability, and capital planning efforts across the Foley Entertainment Group Las Vegas portfolio, including, Lee's Family Forum (HSK), and practice facilities at America First Center.
This executive is responsible for delivering best-in-class venue operations that support NHL, AHL, community ice programming, concerts, special events, and private rentals - ensuring operational excellence, safety, guest experience, and long-term asset preservation.
This role serves as a strategic partner to team presidents, operations leadership, finance, and league offices.
What You'll Do
Drive Strategic Leadership Across the Portfolio
  • Set the long-term facilities strategy across all venues, aligning capital planning, preventive maintenance, and operational excellence with organizational growth objectives.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional facility teams (engineering, housekeeping, ice operations, conversions, custodial, sustainability).
  • Foster a high-performance, safety-first culture with strong internal communication and collaboration.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for facility readiness during NHL, AHL, and major event operations.
  • Partner closely with league operations (NHL/AHL) to ensure compliance with facility standards and event requirements.

Optimize Financial & Operational Performance
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets across all facilities.
  • Lead multi-year capital improvement planning (mechanical systems, ice plant, DAS, LED, sustainability upgrades, etc.).
  • Oversee vendor contracts, service agreements, and procurement in alignment with corporate finance and legal standards.
  • Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining premium standards expected of an NHL franchise and major entertainment venues.
  • Build KPI dashboards for uptime, preventive maintenance compliance, conversion times, labor efficiency, and energy usage.

Ensure Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire code, EPA, ADA, NHL facility requirements, and all local/state regulations.
  • Lead emergency preparedness planning and venue crisis-response protocols.
  • Oversee life-safety systems, inspections, audits, and corrective action processes.
  • Maintain best-in-class ice quality and refrigeration plant operations across training and game venues.

Lead Sustainability & Asset Stewardship
  • Develop and execute a sustainability roadmap across all venues (energy efficiency, water usage, waste diversion, carbon reduction).
  • Identify ROI-positive investments that reduce long-term operating costs and environmental footprint.
  • Partner with sponsorship and partnerships teams to support green initiatives tied to commercial opportunities.

What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in large-scale sports, arena, convention center, hospitality, or multi-venue facility environments.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (union and non-union environments preferred).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing complex operating and capital budgets.
  • Deep understanding of arena systems including HVAC, refrigeration/ice plants, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and event conversions.
  • Experience working in NHL, AHL, NBA, or comparable professional sports environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills - ability to engage ownership, league officials, vendors, and internal leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software systems.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and event coverage.
  • Valid Nevada driver's license.
