Job description

Job Description

The Facility Operator will work under the Facility Manager. This position is responsible for off-loading trucks, generating truck tickets and reports, communicating with drivers and supervisors regularly, and general upkeep of the facility at all times in a safe and efficient working manner.

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential functions are identified in bold and italicized text below.)

  • Must work safely at all times.

  • Perform accurate timekeeping in HR management system and submit on time per payroll deadlines.

  • Perform the job duty of off-loading trucks on a daily basis in a safe manner.

  • Adhere to NGL safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and the upkeep of the facility.

  • Comply with government agency rules, regulations and laws.

  • Identify equipment problems requiring immediate repair.

  • Attend all safety meetings and training.

  • Collect data, such as hourly checklists.

  • Report problems to the facility supervisor.

  • Inspect facility hourly and provide status reports to the facility supervisor.

  • Punctual attendance is required.

  • Regular attendance at the worksite is required.

  • Perform routine scheduled tasks.

  • Follow company Lock Out Tag Out procedures when needed.

  • Adhere to the company's H2S safety dos and don'ts.

  • Clean/replace bag filters daily or as needed.

  • Open and close valves and bleed off plumbing and pumps.

  • Utilize on-site facility programming monitor to run on/off pumps and open/close motor operated valves.

  • Open and close thief hatches on top of tanks.

  • Manually gauge tank levels.

  • Communicate well and supply customer relations efforts as it relates to unloading transfer trucks.

  • Audits facilities and tracks via audit checklist, and troubleshoots issues as needed, keeping facilities safe, efficient, and fully operational.

  • Must be dependable with a stable work history.

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain stability under pressure and be flexible and willing to modify plans and behavior when necessary.

  • Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays.

  • Demonstrated ability to use basic computer applications and software.

  • Punctual, trustworthy and reliable.

  • Proficient spoken and written English.

  • Demonstrated ability towork as team player

  • Demonstrated ability to transfer locations as required by business needs

  • Demonstrated ability to work overtime as necessary.

  • Demonstrated ability to be a positive representative of the Company both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with respect and cooperation at all times with fellow employees and customers.

Experience/Education

  • Two Years Oil & Gas industry experience is preferred.

  • High school diploma / GED is preferred.

  • Valid driver's license is preferred.

Travel

Negligible travel required.
