JONESWORKS, strategy-driven communications, marketing, and management agency, is seeking a driven, creative, and highly organized Social Media Manager our New York office.


The Social Media Manager will be responsible for building and executing social strategy, with a heavy focus on community management, creating compelling content in tandem with the digital team, and translating marketing and product messaging through our social platforms while staying true to the JONESWORKS and the client’s aesthetic and values. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of social media strategies and end-to-end content development with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social trends, sports, and a proven track record of driving organic engagement and growth. Must have experience using Photoshop and Premier


Socia Media Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to meet talent and brand objectives and drive engagement and growth across various social media platforms
  • Manage and maintain the company's social media profiles and presence, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Create and curate compelling content that aligns with brand voice and resonates with the target audience
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and implement best practices to optimize social media presence and performance
  • Engage with online communities and monitor conversations to build brand affinity and address inquiries or concerns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand positioning across all social media channels
  • Track and analyze social media metrics and prepare monthly reports on performance, insights, and recommendations for improvement
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in social media and provide recommendations for innovative and effective social media campaigns
  • Post highly relevant and topical content in line with the client’s brand and values, particularly in the fast-paced environment of professional sports, with a deep knowledge and passion for NFL and NBA
  • Help develop and execute a world-class content strategy that drives engagement, views, and revenue with proactive and reactive ideas
  • Ensure all social media channels are always relevant and engaging while developing the identity and tone of voice for our clients
  • Curate, manage, and deliver high-quality multimedia content, such as graphics, to complement social media posts
  • This job may require some weekend and evening work
  • Contribute to creative ideation
  • Manage all aspects of post-production from ingesting raw footage to deliver of final assets
  • Clean up formatting & graphic design in new business and client facing pitch/creative decks
  • Maintains current knowledge of online marketing opportunities and trends, web analytics, and optimization techniques, particularly in the realm of social media marketing through Tik Tok and Instagram Reels, to ensure social activities are aligned with consumer engagement
  • Maintain sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information


Social Media Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, working with both brands as well as athletes/notables/talent/entertainment
  • Strong reporting skills in analyzing social media activity against KPIs
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content management systems, digital analytics tools, Adobe Photoshop, and Premiere Pro
  • Deep knowledge and passion for sports, especially NFL and NBA, with the ability to stay up to date with industry trends and topics
  • Experience working with influencers and managing influencer partnerships
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
