Job description

Local candidates preferred.

Facilitate performance improvement related to the Linder Center's clinical outcomes. Serve as administrator and main contact in Redcap System. Will work with physicians and staff for new study builds and assist with all questions, training and needs within in the system. Assist research department with various tasks and reporting as needed. Assist VAD department with Monthly PI Measures as needed.  

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required in a health related field, health care management, business management or other similar area of focus.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year of experience with data entry and data analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of NextGen electronic medical record. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and MS Project preferred. Familiarity with operating systems. Project management experience with complex and/or multiple projects that are related to the clinical or operational functional areas. Ability to operate PC based software programs or automated database management systems. Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as time/project management skills. Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people to gather critical information, maintaining good relations, making clear and timely requests, following up, and setting firm limits. Knowledge of the Redcap System as an administrator.

Clinical Research

  • Assist the Lindner Clinical Trial Center Outcomes Medical Director regarding data collection and analysis for research studies.
  • Create abstracts/posters for published studies and conference presentations.
  • Utilize the NextGen electronic medical record and Lumedx to query data for specific study requirements.
  • Assist with research study statistical analysis.
  • Assist the research department with daily/monthly tasks on an as needed basis.
  • Work within EPIC for data cleaning and trial review as needed
  • Review data and clean up where needed on Research trials.

Redcap System Administration

  • Ensure that Recap is an integral part of the Lindner daily workflow and other departments for trials that need to be built. Provide Redcap training, implementation work and align with The Christ Hospital clinical guidelines.
  • Provide high quality solutions that meet the Lindner Centers' and other departments' information needs.
  • Aid Lindner departmental managers, other departments, front line staff, and physicians to identify configurations/customizations that need to be made to Redcap.
  • Assist solution review and feedback sessions with Lindner department and physicians.
  • Determine appropriate permissions for each user within Redcap.
  • Maintain security in the system and be available for downtime and upgrades as needed and serve as main contact.
  • Perform other duties as needed in Redcap

Project Management

  • Ensure that Redcap project goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames.
  • Act as the Primary contact point for Redcap to triage project tasks
  • Provide assistance and training needed for any staff

Data Management

  • Create/Update dashboards to monitor performance and improvements in key metrics
  • Serve as administrator and main contact for Redcap System
  • Work directly with physicians and staff to update data and forms as needed in Redcap.
  • Assist departments with data gathering and various tasks as needed.

Performance Improvement

  • Support teams as related to performance improvement initiatives. Improve processes, recommend solutions, and implement appropriately. Measure outcomes and utilize data to recommend changes.
  • Contribute to best practice initiatives within The Christ Hospital's clinical guidelines.

Professional Development

  • Actively promote a positive image of The Christ Hospital with the public and professional community.
  • Demonstrate a coaching approach in developing the skills and potential of all professional staff and promote a sense of empowerment in performance of their duties.
  • Support compliance with all hospital policies/procedures.
