Job Profile

The Network Solutions Engineer will be responsible for advancing sales of Professional Services.  This role is a technical selling position and will apply principles of solution selling: determine customer needs, execute technical presentations, propose appropriate products and Professional Services solutions, provide input into proposal development team, and provide configurations to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a customer calling plan with the guidance of management to accompany RAMs into strategic accounts.
  • Provide Bill of Materials (BOM) and configurations for projects in coordination with RAMs.
  • Work with appropriate Netceed OEM Development Manager to leverage OEM resources to meet application/product/customer support needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and/or Operations Departments to identify, quote, and execute.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on input from corporate strategy, collaboration with RAMs and ISEs, and direction from management.
  • Assist the account teams in business development and revenue generation activities through Purchase Order (PO) receipt from customer.
  • Support sales growth of networking projects, multi-manufacturer and next-generation solutions to the sales and profit level defined in the company Sales Operating Plan (SOP) on an annual basis.
  • Maintain certification levels with OEM Partners as assigned.
  • Responsible for the product line management of Netceed?s service offerings including productization of new services, service offering portfolio management, and the business modeling of make/buy insource/outsource decisions.
  • Request additional training from OEM Development Managers and/or Marketing as needed. Collaborate with management for approval.
  • Provide feedback to company management personnel pertaining to important industry trends.
  • Utilize Marketing Communications for outbound promotion of Netceed services. Continually improve the collateral content used to promote our services.
  • Leverage Quantitative Analyst to develop reporting from ERP and CRM to manage Netceed services business and to report to various stakeholders within the organization.
  • Responsible for definition and continuous improvement of processes related to Netceed Services.
  • Support Sales by providing selling advice and quote support as needed to bridge any information gaps or follow-up gaps between Operations and Sales.
  • Work with OEM partners to map service capabilities of both companies and define Netceed?s positioning strategy where overlap exists. Include OEM partner service capabilities within Netceed?s services portfolio where they are additive and complementary to our business.
  • Provide annual and monthly forecasting for services business

Requirements/Key Experiences

  • 5 years? experience with a Service Provider (ex: AT&T or CenturyLink) in their past work experience
  • Engineers with a background of Network Planning, Network Design, and/or Network Architecture
  • Helpdesk and customer support experience required
  • Familiarity with open access networks and Layer 2/Layer 3 routing protocols
  • Strong preference for active certifications for telecommunications manufacturers
  • Experience working in engineering/operations within a network operator (SP, Utility, etc.)
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent communication skills needed
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required including nights and weekends
