Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues.
  • Talent Acquisition: Partner in the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Onboarding and Orientation: Welcoming new hires in the office.
  • Payroll: Support in bi-weekly full-cycle payroll process.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs, help develop training programs, and facilitate learning opportunities to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Assist with the understanding and communication of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable pay structures, and administering employee benefits packages effectively.
  • HR Compliance: Stay up to date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and implementing appropriate policies and procedures. Maintain organizational records and files.
  • Culture Enhancement: Continue to build the overall Newsmax culture which is fast paced, energetic, and ever changing.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Analyze HR metrics to track key performance indicators, identify trends, and help make data-driven decisions to improve HR processes and initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, or related field preferred: Master's degree a plus.
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with UltiPro/UKG preferred, knowledge of HRIS.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using HR technology to enhance employee experience.
  • Experience working in the media industry is a plus.
  • Positive, optimistic, and solutions-orientated attitude.
  • Needs to be onsite 5 days per week.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
