Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our store's inventory is organized, stocked, and ready for customers. As a Stock Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the backroom and sales floor, receiving, and processing shipments, and assisting customers with their inquiries.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the stock room cleanliness and organization
  • At the manager's discretion, assist with the setup and breakdown of promotional displays, events, and special projects, ensuring that areas are clean and organized before and after events.
  • Assisting shuttle drivers with unloading trucks as needed
  • Assisting with customer pick-ups as needed
  • Ensure that merchandise is properly tagged, assembled, and displayed
  • Assist with moving new and existing merchandise to/from the floor
  • Basic computer skills utilizing the scanning tool, printing inventory tags, and working in GW's store inventory system (training provided)
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a retail and warehouse environment.

Qualifications needed to perform this position:

  • Must be able to lift up to 100+ lbs. (most lifting will be assisted and require the use of a dolly or roll cart and buddy system)
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to accurately track inventory and maintain orderliness in the stockroom.
  • Previous experience in stockroom or warehouse operations, preferably in a retail or furniture environment, is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and interact professionally with customers.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
