Job SummaryThe Music Director helps to support the worship leader in building and developing teams to serve New Life's weekend services with musical excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities - Serve three Sundays a month (36 Sundays a year at NLE)
- Serve at additional services as requested (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, Etc.)
- Provide MD support/direction for band at weekend services
- Attend & provide additional leadership support at bi-monthly team nights
- Develop team members by providing clear communication and feedback to volunteers on a regular basis
- Help worship leader to establish strong worship culture that encourages team growth and excellence
- Partner with NLE Production in set up/tear down process that is efficient and promotes a sustainable pace
- Help to maintain equipment at New Life East
- Serve each weekend with musical excellence knowing all parts prior to rehearsal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Proven strong gifts/anointing in worship ministry.
- Proven strong musical ability.
- Proficiency on at least one musical instrument.
- Possess basic music production skills.
- Ability to develop team members in their musical competency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible and cooperative manner.
- Servant's heart with spiritual maturity and sensitivity.
Education and ExperienceExperience:5+ years of experiencein worship ministry.
Working Conditions and Requirements of Office Environment Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit and occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Close visual acuity is necessary to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
