 At Iowa State Bank, our New Account Rep is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with opening and managing various bank accounts, identify customer needs to recommend suitable products and services, and ensure a positive banking experience while adhering to compliance and regulatory guidelines.  

Requirements

  •  Provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assessing customer needs.
  •  Answer questions regarding Bank products and services.
  •  Opens new deposit accounts
  • Manages customer portfolio, services relationships and cross sells appropriate products and services to meet customer needs,      assuring customer satisfaction, and achieving personal and retail sales goals
  • Makes appropriate customer referrals to other Bank functional areas
  • Effectively handles more complex customer problems and inquiries as well as ensuring that resolution and follow-up are completed in an accurate and timely matter
  • Daily account maintenance with no or limited errors
  • Handle customer transactions including but not limited to: account deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, check deposit hold, cash advances, stop payments, gift cards, and issue Cashier's Checks
  • Answers telephone calls to assist customers with questions or requests 
  • Perform teller duties (customer service rep)
  • Perform bookkeeping functions including proofing, balancing, and processing of checks and bank tickets
  • May be asked to travel to other branch locations to assist in new account duties as needed to ensure adequate coverage
