Robert Half (Technology Solutions) is searching for an Network Technician / Jr. Network Administrator with a background in networking, fiber optics, cabling, and network hardware. If this sounds like your background, then this Network Technician / Jr. Network Administrator role is for you. For this opportunity, you will work onsite in Mojave, CA area.


Position: Network Technician / Jr. Network Administrator

Hours/Duration: 40 hrs/wk, M-F, PST Hours, CTH/FTE

Responsibilities:

• Install, route, and terminate fiber and low-voltage cabling to support network connectivity and equipment deployments.

• Diagnose and resolve wiring, connection, and signal issues across structured cabling and related infrastructure.

• Perform onsite network support tasks within a NOC-focused environment, including basic troubleshooting of switches, wireless connectivity, and associated hardware.

• Provide technical assistance for desktop and workstation issues involving both hardware and software components.

• Support systems running Windows and, when needed, assist with macOS or Linux-based devices.

• Use lifts safely to complete overhead cabling, equipment access, and installation activities in accordance with site requirements.

• Move and handle tools, cable materials, and equipment weighing more than 25 pounds as part of daily fieldwork.

• Contribute to operational support activities in the client environment while following established technical and workplace procedures.

• At least 2 years of experience in network, NOC, or infrastructure support roles.

• Hands-on experience with fiber cabling, including installation, routing, and termination work.

• Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring and the ability to troubleshoot physical connectivity issues.

• Foundational networking knowledge comparable to a Network+ skill level.

• Experience supporting desktop hardware and software in a business environment.

• Familiarity with Windows systems; exposure to macOS or Linux is an advantage.

• Ability to work comfortably on a lift and perform physically active installation tasks.

• Capability to lift and carry 25 pounds or more safely during regular job duties.
