Job description

Job Summary:
Boys Town is a national child and family care organization that has been serving since 1917. They are seeking a Manager of Network Infrastructure to lead the design, implementation, and management of a secure and scalable network environment, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Manages network operations, systems, and staff.
• Develops, manages, and reports on all activities associated with performance and reliability of network components and services.
• Researches and provides strategic direction on the use of new products and technology including routers, switches, network management, security operations, wireless technologies.
• Oversees change management and related audit activities associated with the network environment including documentation requirements, scheduled outages, and operational procedures.
• Ensures proactive monitoring of network related components and quick resolution by establishing strong documentation, notification and escalation procedures in a 24x7 network environment where uptime, response, and repair are critical to servicing all impacting issues.
• Hires, manages, and evaluates staff.
• Interfaces with other departments and participates in defining appropriate technology standards to use within the organization’s existing architecture.
• Develops project plans to align with the goals and priorities of the division and the organization.
• Re-defines and meets service level agreements (SLA) and delivers upon SLAs required by different internal customers.
• Maintains and grows partnerships with IT vendors and providers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of network / systems administration experience including management required.
• On-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support required.
• Ability to provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements of the job required.
Preferred:
• Network or managerial certifications preferred.
