Job description

Title: Insurance Coordinator

Department: Insurance

Reports to: Insurance Manager

Location: Omaha, NE

Travel Required: Occasional as to attend annual convention and seminars, less than 25%

Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour, based on experience

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Your Role.

As the Insurance Specialist, you will be assisting the Insurance Manager with all aspects of insurance program administration, including overseeing certificates of insurance, compliance portals, renewals and insurance program management. You will offer overall Administrative Support to the Insurance Manager as well as the Director of Insurance Operations.

What You’ll Do in This Role.

Administrative 70%

  • Assist Insurance Manager with communicating general insurance information to the network.
  • Overall management of department email inbox
  • Route insurance emails to appropriate parties to address
  • Assist Insurance Manager with certificates of insurance renewal
  • Maintain diaries for follow up items in RMIS system
  • Assist network with password resets for insurance applications
  • Evaluate and process certificates of insurance requests from franchise owners
  • Address auto ID card requests and disperse to network
  • Assist with streamlining administrative duties for the department
  • Maintain compliance portal
  • Address department ticketing system que within required SLAs
  • Play active role with annual insurance renewal
  • Work with franchisees on a regular basis to ensure they are compliant with their insurance coverages.
  • Assist Manager and Director in identifying franchise compliance concerns to ensure alignment with insurance requirements.
  • Assist with premium audits

Claims Customer Service and Administration 30%

  • Oversee the filing of all claim documents
  • Escalate complex loss information to Insurance Manager and/or Director of Insurance Operations
  • Clean up reports for accurate loss location coding
  • Making suggestions to improve customer satisfaction and operation workflow
  • Access claim information to provide adjuster contact information to network
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with both external and internal customers

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High school diploma or GED and equivalent experience acceptable
  • 1-3 years experience in insurance or risk control
