Job Summary:
Alpha Consulting Corp. is seeking a GCP Network & Infrastructure Engineer Contractor to design, implement, and manage secure network solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role focuses on building robust cloud networking infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, and seamless hybrid connectivity.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and access points
• Design and manage GCP networking components including VPCs, subnets, Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, firewall policies, and load balancing
• Implement hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN and Interconnect
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize connectivity
• Implement security controls and network segmentation to ensure compliance and protection against vulnerabilities
• Automate network provisioning and infrastructure deployment using Terraform and Python
• Collaborate with cloud, platform, security, and application teams to integrate networking solutions with enterprise systems
• Maintain documentation for network configurations, standards, and operational procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
• Only U.S Citizen or Green Card only
• Local to jersey city-Onsite
• Experience: 6–9 Years
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking
• Expertise in VPC design, firewall management, load balancing, DNS, and hybrid cloud networking
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills
• Experience with enterprise network security and compliance best practices
• Knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
• Experience supporting multi-region and hybrid cloud environments
Preferred:
• Experience in enterprise cloud transformation projects
• Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud automation workflows
• Strong communication and documentation skills
