Job description

53rd Wing Support Contract | Eglin AFB, Florida | Full-Time | On-Site
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 | Clearance Required: Active Top Secret (SCI Preferred) ABOUT OSAAVA SERVICES
OSAAVA Services is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in Space, Cybersecurity, and IT Service Management for the U.S. government and defense community. We support mission-critical programs where performance isn't optional — and we build teams that reflect that standard. POSITION OVERVIEW
OSAAVA Services is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to support the 53rd Wing at Eglin AFB, Florida. This is a hands-on, technically demanding role for a professional who has designed, implemented, and maintained enterprise-level network infrastructures in DoD or similarly complex environments.
The right candidate brings deep experience with Cisco networking equipment, firewall administration, and Windows Server environments — and can operate independently in a fast-paced, mission-focused setting where network availability directly impacts operational readiness.
This is not a helpdesk or junior systems administrator role. We are looking for someone who has built and sustained infrastructure, not just supported it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level LAN/WAN network infrastructure supporting 53rd Wing operations
Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewall platforms in classified and unclassified environments
Manage and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
Administer and maintain firewall rule sets, ACLs, VLANs, and network segmentation configurations
Monitor network performance, diagnose complex connectivity and infrastructure issues, and implement corrective actions
Ensure all systems remain compliant with STIG requirements, DISA standards, and applicable DoD security policies
Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel on vulnerability remediation, RMF compliance, and system hardening
Maintain comprehensive network documentation, configuration records, and change management logs
Support lifecycle management of network hardware, servers, and endpoint systems
Respond to and resolve IT infrastructure tickets; escalate complex issues appropriately REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Active Top Secret clearance (required at time of application)
3–7 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure
Proven, documented experience configuring and administering Cisco routers, switches, and firewall platforms in a production environment
Proficiency with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy)
CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II compliant) — required
Experience working in a DoD, U.S. Air Force, or equivalent federal IT environment
Strong troubleshooting skills across network hardware, infrastructure, and systems layers
Ability to work on-site at Eglin AFB, FL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS TS/SCI clearance
CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification
Experience with firewall platforms including Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent
Experience with STIG implementation and RMF/ATO compliance
Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms (Remedy, ServiceNow)
Experience supporting USAF Wing-level operations or comparable DoD command environment
Experience with endpoint management tools (MECM/SCCM)
Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, ACAS/Tenable) ABOUT OSAAVA SERVICES
OSAAVA Services is a mission-focused SDVOSB built by veterans, for the mission. We understand the clearance landscape, the pace of DoD environments, and what it takes to place the right people in roles that matter. We don't just fill positions — we support the people who keep national defense running. BENEFITS INCLUDE Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays)
Professional development and certification support
Life and disability insurance OSAAVA Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We encourage applications from all qualified individuals, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
