Job Summary:

The Director of Marketing serves as the strategic marketing leader for Easterseals Community Network and its subsidiaries across Indiana and Northwest Ohio. This network-wide leadership position is responsible for the strategic oversight, development, implementation, and evaluation of all marketing, branding, advertising, digital engagement, and public awareness initiatives that advance the organization’s mission, visibility, growth, recruitment, donor engagement, and community impact.

The Director of Marketing provides upper management level leadership and direction for network-wide marketing operations and collaborates closely with organizational leadership to ensure marketing strategies align with strategic priorities, operational goals, fundraising initiatives, workforce recruitment efforts, and community engagement activities. This position oversees marketing staff across multiple locations and ensures consistent branding, messaging, storytelling, and audience engagement throughout all subsidiaries and service lines.

The Director of Marketing will work closely with the Chief Community Impact Officer and the Director of Communications and Board Operations to ensure alignment of organizational messaging, executive initiatives, public awareness campaigns, board engagement efforts, and network-wide community relations strategies.

The Director of Marketing serves as a key collaborator, brand steward, and organizational leader responsible for strengthening the visibility, reputation, and growth of Easterseals Community Network.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and implement comprehensive network-wide marketing strategies aligned with organizational priorities and strategic goals
  • Lead annual marketing planning efforts, including campaign development, marketing calendars, measurable goals, and departmental objectives
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support organizational growth, fundraising initiatives, recruitment efforts, legislative engagement, and community awareness
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen organizational visibility, public awareness, and community engagement throughout the region and state
  • Lead long-term brand strategy initiatives for Easterseals Community Network and all subsidiaries
  • Lead development and oversight of network-wide advertising campaigns, promotional initiatives, and audience engagement strategies
  • Evaluate return on investment (ROI) and effectiveness of marketing campaigns, sponsorship visibility, and advertising initiatives
  • Track measurable outcomes and key performance indicators related to marketing growth, digital engagement, recruitment marketing, and organizational visibility
  • Stay current on industry trends, nonprofit marketing best practices, digital engagement strategies, and emerging technologies

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide direct supervision, mentorship, coaching, and performance management for Marketing Specialists and assigned marketing staff throughout Easterseals Community Network and its subsidiaries
  • Lead and coordinate marketing efforts across multiple locations and service areas to ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and organizational priorities
  • Establish clear expectations, priorities, workflows, and accountability measures for the network marketing team
  • Conduct regular team meetings, annual evaluations, and ongoing professional development activities
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and mission-focused culture among all marketing staff and departments
  • Delegate projects effectively while ensuring quality, consistency, and timely completion of deliverables

Branding, Public Awareness & Reputation Management

  • Oversee and maintain brand identity standards across all subsidiaries, departments, and marketing platforms
  • Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity, and storytelling throughout all marketing materials and campaigns
  • Assist with organizational reputation management and public awareness initiatives
  • Assist organizational leadership with crisis communication preparation, public messaging, and reputation management initiatives as needed
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, partners, vendors, media contacts, and stakeholders
  • Support leadership with marketing strategies related to organizational initiatives, campaigns, and public engagement efforts
  • Ensure all marketing efforts accurately reflect the mission, vision, and values of the organization
  • Provide guidance and training to departments and staff regarding organizational branding standards, logo usage, marketing templates, and marketing best practices

Website & Digital Marketing Oversight

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy, consistency, relevance, and timeliness of all network and subsidiary websites
  • Ensure websites effectively support marketing, recruitment, fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach goals
  • Coordinate website updates and digital content management across departments and subsidiaries
  • Oversee network-wide digital marketing strategy, including social media growth, audience engagement, websites, e-newsletters, and digital advertising campaigns
  • Monitor website traffic, digital engagement, social media analytics, and campaign performance metrics
  • Analyze marketing and audience data to establish measurable goals and improve engagement, visibility, recruitment, and donor conversion efforts
  • Develop and implement digital advertising and audience engagement strategies
  • Research and implement emerging digital marketing tools, technologies, trends, and opportunities that strengthen organizational visibility and outreach
  • Oversee search engine optimization (SEO), digital accessibility standards, and online user experience improvements
  • Monitor online reputation management and engagement across digital platforms
  • Utilize analytics and audience insights to improve marketing effectiveness, audience growth, and engagement

Content Development & Storytelling

  • Lead the creation of compelling mission-focused content highlighting individual success stories, organizational impact, donor engagement, workforce initiatives, and community partnerships
  • Write and edit content for print, digital, fundraising, recruitment, advertising, and social media platforms
  • Coordinate photography, videography, testimonials, and multimedia storytelling efforts throughout the network
  • Oversee creation and production of visual marketing assets, brochures, flyers, newsletters, annual reports, advertisements, and promotional campaigns
  • Oversee organization and maintenance of network-wide digital marketing assets including photography, video, testimonials, templates, and brand materials
  • Ensure content reflects organizational values, accessibility standards, and inclusive marketing practices
  • Support development and grant efforts through impactful storytelling and campaign materials
  • Ensure all marketing materials align with organizational branding standards and mission-driven messaging

Organizational Collaboration & Recruitment Marketing

  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Community Impact Officer and Director of Communications and Board Operations to align network-wide marketing strategies with organizational priorities, executive initiatives, board engagement activities, and external outreach efforts
  • Partner with development, grants, government relations, programs, operations, and leadership teams across all subsidiaries to support organizational initiatives and campaigns
  • Support donor stewardship efforts through impact stories, campaign materials, recognition initiatives, and event promotion throughout the network
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and operational leadership to develop recruitment marketing strategies supporting workforce development and staffing initiatives across the network
  • Lead creative recruitment marketing campaigns designed to strengthen workforce pipelines, increase applicant engagement, and promote organizational culture
  • Support campaigns focused on DSP recruitment, retention, workforce awareness, and organizational culture
  • Support marketing and visibility efforts related to strategic partnerships, community collaborations, sponsorships, and organizational initiatives
  • Assist in promoting partnerships with businesses, schools, healthcare organizations, foundations, and community stakeholders
  • Support board materials, executive presentations, organizational campaigns, and leadership marketing needs as assigned
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, visual identity, and marketing standards across Easterseals Community Network and all subsidiaries

Event & Community Engagement Support

  • Assist with planning and promotion of organizational events, fundraising initiatives, tours, campaigns, and community outreach activities
  • Coordinate marketing materials, signage, event promotion, sponsorship visibility, and advertising efforts
  • Support volunteer engagement and community awareness activities throughout the network
  • Assist with media coverage and public visibility for major organizational events and initiatives
  • Attend community events, networking activities, tours, and organizational functions representing the organization in a professional manner

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and marketing-related cost centers
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure effective stewardship of organizational resources
  • Ensure organizational compliance with branding standards, logo usage, visual identity
  • Assist in evaluating marketing return on investment and effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, graphic design, business, communications, or related field required; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in marketing, branding, advertising, nonprofit marketing, or digital marketing required
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Experience leading multi-site or network-wide marketing initiatives preferred
  • Experience managing organizational branding across multiple departments or locations preferred
  • Experience with nonprofit fundraising and donor engagement marketing preferred
  • Experience overseeing multi-channel campaigns and integrated marketing strategies preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking, organizational leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think strategically while also supporting operational execution
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

Work Environment/Conditions:

The Director of Marketing is a network-wide leadership position serving Easterseals Community Network and its subsidiaries throughout Indiana and Northwest Ohio. This position is primarily based at the Cardinal Services office in Warsaw, Indiana, with regular travel required throughout the network’s regional footprint, including Fort Wayne, Warsaw, Bowling Green, and other service areas. Evening and weekend hours may occasionally be necessary for events, campaigns, meetings, and organizational activities.

Employee will work in office and community settings with regular interaction across departments and subsidiaries. Work may occasionally require extended hours, travel, event support, and light lifting of marketing materials or displays.
