Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Network Development leads planning, governance, and performance optimization for Scout's retail network across the U.S. and Canada. This role owns network strategy, regulatory operations, retail standards, and retail performance, with a focus on data-driven decisions, direct-to-consumer growth, and practical AI adoption.
What you'll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Lead network planning, market analytics, location strategy, and business case development.
  • Evaluate new market opportunities across the U.S. and Canada using customer, competitive, demographic, and performance data.
  • Manage dealer, business, and salesperson licensing requirements; support local regulatory compliance and market-entry readiness.
  • Develop and maintain store standards, visual guidelines, maintenance standards, audit processes, and location-management governance.
  • Create store performance assessments, scorecards, and consulting support to improve retail effectiveness.
  • Implement AI-enabled tools that improve forecasting, reporting, compliance tracking, market analysis, and decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Corporate Architecture, Retail Operations, Legal, Finance, Real Estate, Commercial Operations, and Digital teams.

Location & Travel Expectations:
  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Economics, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of automotive network development, market planning, dealer operations, retail strategy, or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. and Canadian automotive retail markets and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to synthesize complex market data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience building business cases, executive presentations, performance dashboards, and action plans.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and implement AI-enabled tools and processes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience launching or scaling automotive retail networks.
  • Familiarity with GIS, market-planning, Salesforce, Jira , AI Tools, Sigma or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience operating in a high-growth, startup, or transformation environment.
  • Automotive direct-to-consumer experience.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $150,000.00 - $181,250.00
