The Network & Communications Analyst II is responsible for independently designing, implementing, and maintaining the campus network infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure operations while troubleshooting complex network issues.
Responsibilities:
• Independently designing, implementing, and maintaining the campus network infrastructure and relevant network operations supporting systems.
• Coordinating with CSU system wide entities, campus departments, and groups within IITS to ensure that the network is designed, implemented, and operated in an efficient, secure, and effective way.
• Assessing the integration requirements and identifying the vendor responsibilities for the provision of products and services.
• Recommending and integrating network management tools, as well as designing and implementing custom tools and scripts to assist in network management.
• Troubleshooting complex network problems and independently developing solutions to network configuration and integration issues.
• Running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds and to resolve Physical, Datalink and Network layer conflicts with campus voice/data network systems and the protocols they use.

Required:
• Independently designing, implementing, and maintaining the campus network infrastructure and relevant network operations supporting systems.
• Managing campus WAN connectivity, data centers hosted on and off premises, campus wired and wireless network infrastructure, and remote sites.
• Coordinating with CSU system wide entities, campus departments, and groups within IITS.
• Assessing the integration requirements and identifying the vendor responsibilities for the provision of products and services.
• Recommending and integrating network management tools.
• Designing and implementing custom tools and scripts to assist in network management.
• Troubleshooting complex network problems and independently developing solutions to network configuration and integration issues.
• Running diagnostics to forecast performance thresholds and to resolve Physical, Datalink and Network layer conflicts with campus voice/data network systems and the protocols they use.
