 Lead the Backbone of IT Infrastructure

Are you an experienced network professional ready to take ownership of enterprise-level systems and lead complex technical initiatives? Do you thrive in a role where your decisions directly impact network performance, security, and scalability?
CompuOne Corporation — a full-service managed IT services provider headquartered in San Diego — is seeking a Network Administrator to join our Illinois technical team. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in designing, managing, and securing advanced network environments across multiple client sites.

 What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for end users via phone, email, remote tools, and ticketing system.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of scalable network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless, etc.).
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office desktop apps.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems, business applications, and antivirus tools.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and security using industry best practices.
  • Provide network troubleshooting, including connectivity, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, escalating and coordinating with vendors as needed.
  • Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Office 365.
  • Oversee system audits, documentation, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Serve as a technical lead on network projects and mentor junior team members.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Travel to client sites locally as needed (mileage reimbursement provided).

 What You Bring to the Table:

  • 2 + years of experience in network administration and IT infrastructure support.
  • Proven expertise in switching, routing, and firewall management.
  • Advanced knowledge of network security practices and access controls.
  • Strong command of Microsoft environments, including Office 365 and Active Directory.
  • Experience managing virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, ESXi, Azure).
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Experience working in an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment is a plus.
