Job Description

Seeking an experienced Network Administrator to provide network and desktop support for our Client's ย enterprise software application suite. As a member of the project team, the administrator will work in an interactive environment with business and technical staff to ensure a high degree of collaboration in support of a successful overall solution. Responsibilities for this role will include installation of network, desktop and peripheral hardware and associated software, maintaining compliance against standards and best practices, upgrading system resources with available releases, and configuration of a high availability enterprise system architecture. ย The Network Administrator will also be responsible for troubleshooting and problem resolution related to network, hardware and software resources. This is an exciting technical role where hands-on administration is required.

Qualifications


ย Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting and / or deploying enterprise infrastructure solutions utilizing primarily the Microsoft .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server.
* Experience in an enterprise distributed computing environment, and special emphasis on transactional and reporting systems associated with an operational environment.
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge of modern Internet architectures and associated networking, firewalls, routing, switching, load-balancing, and clustering technologies.ย 
* Experience in implementing and managing infrastructure security.
* Experience in implementing and managing cloud based infrastructures (such as Windows Azure).
* Knowledge and experience with virtualization (such as VRF, MPLS, LDP, etc.).
* Experience in creating and managing a backup strategy.
* Experienced with desktop environments including OS installation, upgrades, patches, anti-virus installation, and remote access (VPN).
* Ability to anticipate and appropriately escalate on forthcoming issues and risks of the infrastructure solution.
* Experienced with ITIL and Systems Administration Best Practices.
* Experience in the utilization of an industry accepted, structured software development life cycle methodology.ย 
* Experience supporting a complex infrastructure for enterprise software products including the deployment of multiple versions / releases of hardware and software utilizing standardized release management methodologies.
* Experience utilizing infrastructure tools and processes (i.e. monitoring, performance, etc.) while assuring the viability, functionality and effectiveness of these essential tools.
* Experience working alone or collaboratively using problem solving techniques to address defect analysis, troubleshooting, and effective resolution.
* Ability to work collaboratively with the software development team, while driving infrastructure improvements to achieve business optimization.
* Ability to create technical detail-oriented infrastructure documentation and records for internal and external audiences as well as for auditing purposes.
* Ability to prepare and present concepts (written and verbal) to the software development team, senior management, and other internal and external stakeholders.
* Candidate must be an excellent communicator and customer service focused.
