Network Administrator
Our client in Sugarland , TX or Atlanta, GA is seeking a Network Administrator to support, maintain, and improve enterprise network services across campus, branch, cloud, and hybrid environments. This position will provide hands-on operational support for routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity.
The Network Administrator will work closely with network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud operations, service desk, and business teams to maintain secure, reliable, and highly available network services.
Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II support for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN, DNS, and DHCP services
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, availability, latency, and connectivity
  • Configure and support Cisco switching, wireless, and / or Meraki infrastructure
  • Perform network refreshes, hardware replacements, software upgrades, and lifecycle activities
  • Maintain VLANs, routing configurations, wireless services, and IP address assignments
  • Support VPN, firewall, network-access control, segmentation, and secure remote-access initiatives
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation, incident response, and infrastructure hardening
  • Use monitoring, packet-capture, and traffic-analysis tools to investigate network problems
  • Maintain network diagrams, configurations, standards, and operating procedures
  • Support automation and modernization initiatives
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and an on-call rotation
Qualifications
  • Approximately 7 or more years of enterprise network administration or network operations experience
  • Hands-on experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, LAN, WAN, and wireless networking
  • Demonstrated network troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
  • Experience working within an enterprise ticketing or IT service-management environment
  • Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
Preferred experience
  • Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, ISE, Catalyst Center, or ThousandEyes
  • SD-WAN and secure remote-access technologies
  • Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud networking
  • Wireshark, NetFlow, or enterprise monitoring platforms
  • Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
  • Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or Git
  • CCNA, CCNP, or another Cisco certification
