SUMMARY:
TRABUS is seeking an experienced Information Systems Administrator (SysAdmin) to assist in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the corporate network infrastructure in a mission-critical environment. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in secure network architecture, system integration, Windows/MacOS/Linux administration, and familiarity with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) cybersecurity frameworks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Help and assists in configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
  • Assist in performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Assist in the monitoring of network performance and health, ensuring continuous system uptime and reliability
  • Track overall system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning using logging and analytical tools such as Intune and Grafana.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting for network issues
  • Perform routine updates and configuration cycles for Windows 11/Server 2016/2019, Ubuntu and other LINUX distributions, as well as MacOS systems
  • Help to administer and support Windows Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Office 365 environments
  • Configure and manage VPNs (specifically WireGuard VPN) and establish isolated network and safe computing environments
  • Ensure compliance with configuration and change management processes
  • Help to implement and support CMMC compliance practices, including documentation, secure access control, and logging of system data and policies.
  • Work collaboratively with security personnel and vendors for problem resolution and implementation of cybersecurity best practices
  • Work closely with development teams and platform engineers in deploying robust, and CMMC compliant, network environments that facilitates efficient software development work.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Well-versed in Windows, Linux and MacOS.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field
  • 6+ years of experience with an Associate's degree and DoDInst. 8570 IAT Level 2 in lieu of a bachelor's degree; or 8+ years of experience and DoDInst. 8570 IAM Level 2 in lieu of a bachelor's degree; or 4+ years of experience with a master's degree in information systems, Computer Science or similar computing focused engineering.
  • 3-4 years of experience managing secure network environments and infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, SSH), VPNs and Firewalls
  • Proficient in both cloud and on-premises environments and establishing a strong software development focused environment at TRABUS
  • Solid understanding of OSI or TCP/IP models and software-defined networking with Access Control Policies.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows, MacOS and LINUX-based systems
  • Experience supporting federal systems and complying with federal cybersecurity standards
  • Familiarity with CMMC Level 2+ controls and implementation practices
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of experience handling secure networks and infrastructure
  • Security+ or equivalent DoDInst. 8570 IAT Level II certification
  • Advanced LINUX/Unix-based system administration and security hardening experience
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret or Top Secret Eligible (SCI eligibility preferred)
