Roles & Responsibilities:
As a NETA Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and testing electrical systems, ensuring safety and reliability for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform NETA electrical maintenance and acceptance testing tasks.
  • Test both digital and mechanical relays.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues, both emergency and non-emergency.
  • Assist with project management, including work order creation, field file management, and coordination.
  • Support project closures by addressing punch lists and additional scopes.
  • Provide 24-hour emergency client support.
  • Assist in completing detailed testing reports.

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
  • NETA II or higher certification.
  • Proficient with SEL relays.
  • Alignment with UIS's core values: safety, integrity, client focus, continuous growth, teamwork, and professionalism.
  • Member of the IBEW or willing to join.
  • NECA/IBEW Apprenticeship background.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges with a commitment to finding optimal solutions.
