Job description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled NETA-Certified Technician with a strong background in testing, maintaining, and commissioning low and medium voltage electrical power systems. This role requires a detail-oriented and safety-conscious professional who thrives in both independent and team settings. The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. What You'll Do:

  • Interpret and analyze electrical one-line diagrams
  • Perform testing, maintenance, startup, and commissioning of electrical power distribution systems
  • Inspect, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the following equipment:
    • Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
    • Power Cables (Tan Delta and VLF Testing)
    • Battery Backup Systems
    • Circuit Breakers (Primary & Secondary Injection Testing)
    • Current and Potential Transformers
    • Grounding Systems (Point-to-Point Testing)
    • Protective Relays
    • Switchgear and Panelboards
    • Power Transformers

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Certified Journeyman Electrician with IBEW Local Affiliation
  • NETA Level II, III, or IV Certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience testing and evaluating low and medium voltage electrical power systems
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel overnight up to 10%


Required Training & Knowledge:

  • Certified NETA Level II or higher
  • In-depth knowledge of NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Specifications
  • Familiarity with NFPA70B and industry electrical codes and standards
  • OSHA Electrical Safety and NFPA70E Safety Training
  • Up-to-date knowledge of NEC, NFPA-70E, IEEE/ANSI standards, and electrical classifications
