Job Summary Job Summary Chaminade College Preparatory seeks a dynamic, innovative, and engaging SOCIAL SCIENCES TEACHER specializing in History with great classroom management skills for our high school campus (grades 9-12) in West Hills, California. This is a full-time position starting in the Fall of 2026

The Successful Candidate Has experience teaching both College Prep. History and AP History in High School and will have delivered lessons that build students' understanding and application of historical thinking skills. Has experience of developing students' ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize historical concepts and sources.

Has proven experience of teaching contemporary skills that allow students to flourish in a diverse range of academic, professional, and cultural contexts. Knows how to apply the principles of backward design and implement lessons that enable all students to succeed and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Teaches five sections, where courses can range across all levels, including and up to AP History (the School currently offers AP United States and AP World History).

Under the supervision of the vice principals, teaches a standards-based curriculum.
