Job description

JEC High School (Elizabeth, NJ) is seeking an AP English Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year, following a recent staff opening.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach AP English Language and/or Literature to high school students
  • Prepare students for the AP exam with rigorous, standards-aligned instruction
  • Collaborate with the English department and school leadership on curriculum alignment
  • Support students academically within JEC's Orthodox Jewish educational environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Prior AP teaching experience strongly preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
