ESPN LA Digital Marketing Consultant (Account Executive)

(Los Angeles, CA) 

ESPN LA is seeking an experienced, high-performing Digital Marketing Consultant to grow digital revenue in the Los Angeles market. Los Angeles is one of the largest and most dynamic sports and advertising markets in the country, giving our team the opportunity to connect leading brands with highly engaged sports fans across ESPN’s industry-leading digital platforms. This role is ideal for a proven digital seller who thrives on relationship-building, consultative selling, and creating customized marketing solutions for local and regional brands.

The ESPN LA Digital Marketing Consultant is responsible for developing and growing long-term relationships with local and regional businesses by selling customized digital marketing solutions across ESPN’s digital ecosystem, including ESPN.com, the ESPN App, digital video, and ESPN Live Stream/OTT. GKB also represents additional premium digital and CTV inventory, including March Madness, New England Sports Network, SportsNet Pittsburgh, NBA.com and the NBA App. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development through partner retention and growth, while serving as a trusted marketing advisor to partners.

Career responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new digital advertising partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional decision-makers
  • Create customized, results-driven digital marketing solutions aligned with partner objectives
  • Grow and retain an active book of business through consultative selling
  • Develop deep knowledge of ESPN’s full digital portfolio and targeting capabilities
  • Stay current on digital media trends, products, and best practices
  • Effectively uncover marketing challenges and position solutions at all organizational levels, including the C-suite
  • Network within the Los Angeles business community to expand market presence and develop new business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline reporting using CRM tools
  • Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve new business outreach, partner research, campaign development, communication, and sales effectiveness while maintaining a high level of personalization and partner interaction
  • Other assigned tasks

Preferred knowledge, skills and qualifications:  

  • 3-5 years previous sales experience and a passion for sales and service
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and growing long-term partner relationships
  • Strong professional network within the Los Angeles market preferred
  • Existing relationships with advertisers and agencies preferred
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable selling consultatively at all organizational levels
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Valid driver’s license required; in-market partner meetings are an essential function of this role

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated salary range for this California-based position is $75,000 - $150,000 (base) plus commission/bonus. The salary rate is to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; short- and long-term disability; 401(k); dependent care benefits; paid parental leave; and additional benefits. This position requires occasional evening and weekend work for events and games.
