Job description

The National Account Manager's (NAM) main priority is driving Red Bull strategy and initiatives with a set group of National Accounts. The NAM will be the key owner of all business-related activities and targets at national and market levels. This role is tasked with driving coordination and collaboration across multiple functional groups (sales, distribution, marketing, finance, operations, and legal) at Headquarters (HQ) and Region levels to ensure that objectives and goals of these customers are achieved.
Responsibilities include: owning budgets and results (Distribution, Price, Promotion, and Presence) at both the national & regional levels; developing productive business partnerships with senior management in all assigned banners/divisions and at the customer's HQ offices; and driving best practices through producing excellent results and creating innovative solutions.
This role may also be based in: Atlanta or Washington D.C.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING & ENTERPRISE LEADERSHIP
    Leads Joint Business Planning (JBP) and enterprise-level long-term growth strategies.
    Identifies opportunities to scale successful initiatives, best practices, and customer solutions across banners.
    Monitors market trends and leverages relevant customer, consumer, and competitive insights to inform strategic recommendations.
    Develops productive business relationships with senior customer leadership and expands executive engagement opportunities across the organization.
    Aligns internal Red Bull resources across all functional areas to achieve customer and company objectives.
    Represents Red Bull at supplier summits, customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • TRADE INVESTMENT GOVERNANCE & BUSINESS PERFORMANCE
    Maintains visibility across all customer investments, customer marketing agreements, and strategic initiatives.
    Consistently evaluates trade investments to ensure the highest return on investment and alignment with business priorities.
    Drives post-promotion and post-initiative analyses to evaluate effectiveness and identify future opportunities.
    Develops scorecards and reporting tools that measure performance, track key initiatives, and support business planning.
    Thoroughly analyzes customer performance to define priorities and focus areas across the portfolio.
  • DISTRIBUTOR PARTNER ENGAGEMENT
    Develops strong relationships with Distribution Partner leadership to increase share of mind and alignment against key customer priorities.
    Partners with Distribution Partners and Sales Leadership to identify opportunities that improve execution, service levels, and retail performance.
    Establishes business reviews, performance tracking, and communication routines that drive accountability and executional consistency.
    Advocates for priorities within the distributor organization to ensure focus on key initiatives and customer objectives.
  • MANAGEMENT OF BU & DP RELATIONSHIPS THAT INFLUENCE EXECUTION ACROSS THE US
    Owns customer-facing recaps for major activations, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional programs.
    Partners with Shopper Marketing, Trade Marketing, E-Commerce, Category Management, and Sales to communicate the impact of Red Bull investments across all channels.
    Leverages activation results, business insights, and customer learnings to strengthen customer relationships and support future negotiations.
    Drives cross-functional alignment and communication to ensure consistent execution and maximize the impact of Red Bull initiatives across the business.

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
  • Minimum 8 years Sales and Key Account experience with a strong track record of success
  • Past experience leading national account strategies across multi-banner retail organizations, balancing enterprise-level priorities while supporting unique banner-level business needs and customer relationships
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources (i.e. Nielsen, Circana, CPM, Sales Data)
  • Ability to demonstrate solid "peer leadership/influence"
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Advanced strategic thinking, planning, financial management, decision-making, sales presentation, & negotiation skills
  • Innovative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to drive collaboration across diverse functional groups to achieve goals
  • Passion to make significant contributions to the Red Bull organization through continuous process & ways of working improvement
  • In-depth knowledge of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) industry
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
