About the role
This position will oversee and direct all operational aspects of Inbound and Outbound activities ensuring customer orders are processed and shipped in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. Managing operational expenses within forecasted budgets to drive positive EBIDTA results is a key component of this position. Will also develop operational action plans based on forecast and changes likely to impact business or functions of the fulfillment center. This position will be expected to develop, grow, and identify talent and bench strength amongst their team. Regular touch-bases with direct reports will be required to ensure communications, directions, and operational changes are understood amongst their team. Professionalism is a must.

  • Build and maintain an innovative and positive team culture. Create disciplined groups that complement each other. Lead, encourage and facilitate effective communications within the team and among various business partners.
  • Accountable to mentor, support and lead departmental supervisors in all aspects of their role. Provide tools and training to develop supervisor abilities. Provide consistent and timely feedback with focus a focus on development.
  • Oversee the physical workflow for function and department(s). Manage daily operations and work volume throughout all departments. Make decisions and implement changes to improve throughput, while following policies and procedures already in place, to ensure standardization of changes. Ensure coordination in the movement of associates for proper staffing in all areas according to daily workload projections. Determine staffing needs and make recommendations regarding the scheduling of hours to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of e-commerce systems including Manhattan WMS and Dematic sortation equipment. Provide analytical information coupled with feedback and solutions that will enable the fulfillment center to operate more efficiently and effectively, either by procedures/process improvements or by cost savings.

You'll bring to the role
  • 5+ years' experience in a high-energy, fast-paced, SLA driven environment; e-commerce experience required. Multiple area / shift management experience
  • Strong Labor Management experience required
  • Proven track record surpassing departmental and operational KPIs
  • Proven effectiveness at developing the skills and abilities of Team Members
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling and problem-solving acumen are all critical
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required; ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of business partners
  • Strong warehouse management system (WMS) knowledge required; Manhattan preferred
  • Proven proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
