From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.
Amazon Leo is seeking a talented individual to pursue new consumer broadband funding opportunities

This role is responsible for leading grant applications, RFP responses, and contract negotiations. You will identify and pursue funding opportunities across North America, develop business cases, draft compelling applications, negotiate complex agreements, and position Amazon Leo as the partner of choice for connecting unserved and underserved communities across the region. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in telecommunications business development or grant management, with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity, build trust with public and private sector stakeholders, and drive complex multi-stakeholder deals from identification through close.
Key job responsibilities
- Define the long-term strategy for Amazon Leo's participation in consumer broadband funding programs
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue consumer broadband funding opportunities, developing a prioritized pipeline based on customer impact, opportunity size, competitive dynamics, program requirements, and technical capabilities
- Own the end-to-end application and RFP response process, from opportunity identification and eligibility analysis through proposal development, submission, and award negotiation
- Build and maintain broad relationships with public and private sector stakeholders to position Amazon Leo as a trusted and responsive funding partner
- Negotiate complex grant agreements and contract terms, balancing compliance obligations, deployment commitments, financial trade-offs, and strategic value capture
- Develop detailed business cases for funding opportunities including deployment forecasts, per-location financial projections, capital investment requirements, subsidy economics, contractual terms, and long term revenue impact
- Work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Operations, Compliance, Public Policy, Product, and Engineering teams to develop competitive applications and ensure proposed commitments are operationally achievable
- Track developments in the broadband funding landscape and translate insights into actionable adjustments to pursuit strategy and application positioning
- Develop, implement, and manage application tracking processes, systems, and reports to meet the rapid pace of consumer broadband funding timelines and support portfolio visibility for senior leadership
- Participate in Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews, continuously measuring and forecasting pipeline attainment against goals, utilizing dashboards and tools to derive well-vetted analysis
