Leidos has an opening for a IT Project Manager!
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of NASA and Kennedy Space Center project engagements in accordance with the AEGIS Statement of Work, budget, customer expectations and best practices. These engagements typically involve multi-year delivery of Information Technology Services that include System integration for Imagery, Data Transport Systems and Distribution, Specialized Voice Systems NASA documentation, and configuration management administration.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in project management, interpersonal team building skills, collaborating and managing technical or business projects/processes and deliverables with demonstrated ability to recommend solutions to develop customer relationships to exceed customer satisfaction. The IT Project Manager will work collaboratively on engagements with minimal direct supervision and collaborate with others for assigned tasks.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with operational and technical and NASA Government customers and other partner contractors.
  • Understanding of NASA 2713 Technical Review Process, NASA Procedural Requirement (NPR) 7120.8 for program and project management requirements by which NASA formulates and executes. research and technology programs and projects, and business management skills to assure the timely, satisfactory, and cost- effective completion of customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate successful business management processes, documentation experience, budgetary planning and reporting, and strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to work with the assigned NASA technical and operational team to understand their procurement requirements and recommend procurement decisions based on those requirements.
  • Participate in lifecycle project management including requirements analysis, design, and implementation as well as timely, accurate reporting.
  • Ability to develop deliverables, presentations, project plans and spreadsheets. The Senior Information Technology Project Manager must have exceptional knowledge of the MS Office suite.
  • Coordinate with other contractors and supporting groups at KSC.
  • Provide project management and oversight for NASA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Mission Communication Services, and related IT initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, planning, scheduling, implementation, reporting, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and customer deliverables. Communicate and collaborate with NASA Government customers, technical and operational personnel, contractor partners, and supporting organizations across Kennedy Space Center to identify requirements, support acquisition planning and procurement activities, coordinate service delivery, and ensure successful execution of projects supporting Exploration Ground Systems (EGS), Artemis, and commercial spaceflight operation.
  • Apply NASA Technical Review Processes and applicable NASA Procedural Requirements in support of assigned projects.

Specific position requirements include:
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and improve organization and operational system business processes, procedures, and standards that promote cross-element standardization.
  • Facilitation of collaborating, build consensus, facilitate decision-making, inspire creativity, and have good conflict resolution skills. Identify project risk and mitigate that risk keeping the project on track.
  • Experience with IT Project life-cycle management, including formulation, requirements collection and analysis, design testing, validation, verification, implementation, operational transition, and post-operational management a plus.
  • Strong abilities to work within Microsoft Project environment and understanding of Waterfall schedules.
  • Ability to partner closely with peers, customers, and management, and provide highly effective oral and written.
  • communications, conduct procedural meetings, multitask, and prioritize work in an interrupt-driven environment, and schedule work products to accomplish required tasks.
  • Ability to work in an office environment for collaboration, Kennedy Space Center test laboratories and outdoor support.
  • Locations at Kennedy Space Center in support of installation, validation and verification, maintenance of imagery, communication, and data transmission systems.

Please Note: This is onsite in Kennedy Space, FL.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, OR related field and 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • U.S. Citizenship (required for access to NASA facilities and systems).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust clearance.
  • Ability to maintain required safety training and access authorizations necessary to support projects in controlled areas, elevated work locations, hazardous environments, and clean room facilities as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex IT infrastructure, communications, network, or systems integration projects.
  • Proven experience managing project risks, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

Desired Qualifications:
  • PMP certification is a plus/preferred.

Please Note: The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $110,000 to $125,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
