Job description

Applied Technical Services, LLC (“ATS” or the “Company”) is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. Intermountain Testing Company, part of the ATS Family of Companies, has been in operation in the Colorado region since 1960.  Their years of experience in inspection provide the highest level of expertise in the following methodologies: Certification of Welders/Welding Procedures, Visual Examination, Structural Steel Inspection, Ultrasonics, Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Eddy Current and other testing services and are an FAA Repair Station.

Summary: ATS is seeking a Level II ET Inspector with NAS-410 to support our Englewood, CO ATS Family of Companies location.   We have both temporary contract assignments with Per diem and also permanent positions available.  Typical hourly pay range starts at $50/hr and up to $60/hr based on certs and experience.  Additional MT/PT and/or UTT certs per NAS-410 are a plus.  Relo assistance and $2,500 sign-on bonus available, after testing completion and an additional $2,500 bonus after 1 (one) year of service.   

Responsibilities/Duties: NAS-410 ET Inspector

  • Perform examinations of materials in accordance with procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and exercise assigned responsibility for OJT and guidance of trainees
  • Interface with department managers and clients to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.
  • Be able to prepare written instructions and to organize and report the results of examinations.
  • Work independently and support team members Perform other job related tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • ET Inspector – Meet the minimum requirements of a Level II ET Technician; provide documentation of education, training, and experience in the applicable NDT method(s); have a working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes; ability to effectively communicate with other departments, and customers to report issues and solve problems.
  • NAS-410 certs required and FAA experience preferrwed.
  • Additional Level II certs in PT/MT/UTT and any other NDT methods per NAS-410, preferred.
  • Valid FAA card preferred
  • Experience with FAA ET inspections to include Wheel/bolt ET and MT, Spar ET, Lear, Cessna, Piper or similar aircraft inspection experience.
  • Able Certify to Level II ET per NAS-410 swiftly.

  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. 
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. 
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments. 
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
