We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team as a Production Planning CSM Expediter in our Aerospace Division. This is an ideal role for someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience in a machine shop production scheduling environment, is familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle, and who has experience with Excel and strong math skills.

Purpose:

The Production Planning CSM Expediter is responsible for ensuring that customer supplied material (CSM) and documentation are ready to support a stable, constraint-aware production schedule. This role drives flow by prioritizing and coordinating internal work-center priorities to ensure goods are manufactured efficiently and on time. They are a key link between customers, production, quality, and suppliers to prevent shortages, resolve delays, and maintain AS9100-compliant traceability.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as point of contact for assigned aerospace customers regarding delivery requests, schedules, and material status.
• Release, print, and distribute manufacturing work orders, drawings, and related documentation.
• Order hardware and consumables from customers to replenish kanban system.
• Maintain customer delivery portals/excel spreadsheets. Provide accurate and timely updates.
• Develop reporting tools to streamline customer inquiries and internal visibility.
• Track jobs through manufacturing to ensure on-time completion.
• Partners with supervisors to prioritize work based on customer demand, expedite needs, hot requirements, and constraints.
• Identify delays, shortages, and manufacturing bottlenecks. Work with cross functional groups to resolve obstacles before they impact customer delivery. Escalate issues to supervisor.
• Support internal daily standup meetings with status updates, risks, and next actions.
• Maintain a daily “Top Issues” list with owners, due dates, and recovery plans.
• Create pack slips for outside processing (heat treat, finish) and track delivery commitments.
• Create pack slips for customer shipments.
• Contribute to lean initiatives and scheduling improvements.

Requirements:

• College degree preferred. May substitute 2+ years of aerospace equivalent experience in expediting, planning, scheduling, or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to interpret bills-of-materials, routings, engineering drawings, and material certifications.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards and manufacturing best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, exception logic).
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication across customers, production, quality, and suppliers.
• Comfortable working in a high-mix, fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
