Job Summary/Basic Function
The Music Department is looking for librarians for select ensembles:
  • Wind Ensemble
  • Concert Band
  • Choir
  • Orchestra
  • Jazz

Required Qualifications
  • Must know office procedures, office machines, and telephone etiquette
  • Must be familiar with musical terms to type documents for Music Faculty proficiently
  • Must be enrolled as a student in Tell School Choral Ensemble (University Choir, Women's Choir, or Chorale)
  • Must know about computers (Apple and PC)
  • Must be able to work independently, with self-motivation and drive to complete assigned tasks
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and trustworthy
  • Must have solid interpersonal skills to communicate with students, faculty, and professionals

Job Duties
  • Maintain the Choral section in the Music Library, including oversized and other scores
  • Catalog, archive, copy and organize documents as assigned
  • Assign and maintain music inventory for the current semester
  • Assist with Choral events as needed
  • Maintain the Orchestra section in the Music Library
  • Catalog, Copying, organizing orchestra documents
  • Assist with hiring ringers for the Orchestra
  • Assist with set up and tear down of rehearsals and concerts
  • Coordinate music for students and professionals for rehearsals and concerts
  • Coordinate and organize tasks/assignments for the Orchestra Conductor
  • Assist students, faculty and professional with questions and general needs.
  • Assist with keeping office equipment functioning
  • Assist with Orchestra Events as needed
  • Maintain the Wind Band section in the Music Library including oversized and other scores
  • Catalog, archive, copy, and organize documents as assigned
  • Assist with set up and tear down of rehearsals and concerts
  • Coordinate music for students and professionals for rehearsals and concerts
  • Assign and maintain music folder inventory.
  • Assist with Wind Band Events as needed
